Proleve Distribution LLC, a Tampa-based CBD Manufacturer, is among the first companies to be officially licensed and certified by Florida’s Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) under new rules that went into effect in January. According to the new regulations (Florida Administrative Code 5K-4.034), any ingested food product sold in the state must come from an approved source that is licensed. Also, upon request from any state agency or law enforcement official, anyone selling hemp extract or CBD products must provide documentation that they obtain their product from an approved source.
Receiving this permit means Proleve is a state-approved source for food products containing the hemp extract CBD. “We at Proleve believe this new regulatory environment will be safer for consumers and will provide them with greater confidence in the CBD products they are purchasing,” says Jonathan Solomon, president of Proleve. “Proleve has taken a leadership role in ensuring our products are of the highest standards, and we are proud to be one of the first to receive state certification.”
